About Us
Every board tells a story.
This is ours.
We didn’t start Silver Fox Woods because we wanted to sell cutting boards.
We started it because we realized how much life happens around them.
If our boards could talk, they’d have a lot to say.
They’d talk about big breakfasts growing up—Fox and Gage sitting around the table our dad built by hand. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, all of it. No one left hungry, and it wasn’t just about the food. At night, that same table would host dinners and card games. We’d hang our scorecards on the ceiling as trophies—mostly to keep our stepmom from tearing them down. (She couldn’t reach them.)
Our boards would tell you about the long days in the workshop with our dad. After school, we’d head out to the shop and learn by doing—measuring, cutting, sanding. It wasn’t always easy, but it’s where we learned patience, detail, and how to build something real. We didn’t know it at the time, but we were also laying the groundwork for this business.
At our mom’s house, the stories were different but just as meaningful. There was always music playing and dancing in the kitchen. Conversations that mattered. People showing up as their real selves. The cutting board was right there in the middle of it all—quietly holding the rhythm of family life.
Callie’s board would tell another story.
It would remember game nights with people she loves, the dog always curled up under the table, and afternoons painting with her mom at the kitchen counter—veggies and dip nearby, music on in the background. It would remember the boy who showed up with handmade gifts—carved, crafted, thoughtful—year after year. Not because he had to. But because he wanted to give her something real.
That’s where the spark began. Not in business plans or product lists, but in the realization that when something is made with your hands, it holds a piece of your heart.
That’s what we try to build into every single board.
At Silver Fox Woods, we believe that a cutting board can be more than a tool. It can be a part of your story—your breakfasts, your Sunday dinners, your quiet moments and big celebrations. The things you don’t always remember until you do.
So yes, we care about the craftsmanship. The joinery. The wood grain. The finish.
But we care even more about what our boards become once they leave our hands and land in yours.
Every board tells a story. This is ours, and we're so glad you're a part of it
